The Ocean

Aubrey woke up ready for the Ocean or at least ready to make sand castles!  Before we could do that we needed to head to Wal Mart to buy some sand castle building equipment.

After what felt like a super long process to get ready for the beach we finally connected with John and Carrie at the Ocean.  Aubrey was very excited to get into the sand.  She started making castles right away.

We took Benjamin into the water and he really seemed to enjoy it, or at least didn’t get freaked out buy it. I think feeling the sand was a little different for him at first but didn’t bother him.  He was a little fussy so I put him on the mat with Aubrey and he dug into the sand. Aubrey started getting really tired and decided herself to begin walking back to the room.   That was our cue to leave and get them back to the room for a nap.  Overall, they LOVED the sand/beach! NO- this does not mean we are getting a sand box for them!  If anything, it confirms how hard it is to clean them after playing in the sand.  It was so difficult getting all the sand off of them.  It was stuck in every crevice of their body.

Once they woke up from their naps we headed to the pool to do some more swimming.  We got Aubrey a noodle at Wal Mart and she swam around the pool pretty much all by herself, of course with us close by.  We also took Benjamin in for his 1st dip in the pool and he enjoyed the water (it’s a heated pool).  Rudy gave him his first underwater dip.  He didn’t freak about it but Aubrey got a big kick out of it.

For dinner, we had the opportunity to go out with John and Carrie without the kids.  My cousin Jessica, who recently moved to Melbourne, came out to babysit them for us!  THANKS JESSICA!  Aubrey was very excited to have her cousin Jessica come out to play with her.  We were excited to go out to dinner with friends and no kids!

We went to this river-side restaurant called The Lobster Shanty.  It was really Yummy!  Then we drove to Ron Jon’s and the Cocoa Beach pier.  There we experienced a very drunk woman.  She was so weird and SO drunk.  She turned around at one time and said to the 4 of us “I’ll kill you….Ha…Just kidding”  We weren’t scared so much as annoyed by her.  Then she ended up behind us and was basically on John’s heels and yelled “BOO!” to which he replied “What’s the problem here.” She pretty much backed off at that point.  People are strange.  We capped off the night with Blizzards from Dairy Queen.

The shark picture is just for you Milli! :)

Yeah, thanks for that. Could've gotten Zack a pair of swim trunks with sharks on them. But then I wouldn't be able to get into the water with him...
