It could have been worse

Our Air Conditioner broke last night.  Ugh!

We heard it die at the very end of small group.  Not something anyone ever wants to hear, let alone on a nice humid night.

Thankfully, our heating and cooling company had a truck in our area today and they were able to come evaluate the problem.  The dispatcher was kind enough to let us know should the whole unit need to be replaced, that wouldn't happen until Monday.  In case you haven't seen the weekend forecast it can be summed up in one word- HOT!

There were moments of stress last night.  You know, the ones that remind you that the reason we have a savings account is in case we need it to- you know,  spend a few thousand dollars replacing the A/C.  Then there were moments of insanity, if it is broken, keep it broken and simply deal with the heat.  If the Amish can do it, why can't we?!  They have No A/C and No Fans and they dress in full length garb.  Again, moments of insanity, I blame the heat!

However, it was a minor, or major, depending on how you look at it, fix.  The capacitor was broken. I guess this is a part that makes the whole machine work.  Anyhow, they were able to fix it today and all while I wasn't even home.  They actually arrived to our house early and I wasn't here so they manually started the unit from the outside, diagnosed and fixed it.

Praise God!!  It could have been much bigger but He was faithful and it was a minor and fixable problem!
