Two years ago today Benjamin graced our lives with his presence.

Though there were 2 candles on his cake this past weekend--
He’s pretty convinced that he’s also turning 5 like his big sister.
The life of our boy….
He’s most likely going to be left- handed. He eats, draws, colors, writes, and tries to shake hands with his left hand.
He’s already out of his crib and into a twin bed.
He refers to himself as "Ben" even though everyone calls him Benjamin (by our preference). We are very intrigued how he knows to shorten his name to Ben. When he does say Benjamin it sounds more like "Benin" and we love it!
He’s nailed potty training before his 2nd birthday! Alleluia!!
He falls A LOT!! When he falls and hurts himself, in any way, he requires a boo-boo ice pack from the freezer. He prefers the this one:
Yep- it’s a teether but it always does the trick when he’s injured himself.
He has a growing vocabulary. We never bore of hearing him say “I ove you” “Mommy” “Daddy” “Moooe cake please” “Ank You” “I do it” “Who’s this” “Dadda runnin?’” (picture his little arms going back and forth like a runner) “Dadda workin’?” (picture his little hands pretending to type on a keyboard). "Need Haircut" "Aubrey go lass" "Where Aubrey" We love that he calls all hats- Helmet! He rattles off all the names of family members and friends, even the longer ones like Nicholas.
He’s FULL of LIFE!
He has 2 speeds: Go (Fast) and Sleep.

He would swim every day if we allowed him.
He likes to swing and slide and just generally play outside. Watch him crack this ball:
He enjoys books and being read to.
He’s obsessed with brooms or any sweeping device which we’re sure will come to an end just in time for him to be old enough to actually help us by using it!
He loves his sister. Anything she does, he wants to do to!
He loves his family and misses them when they aren't visiting.
He’s our baby boy who doesn't feel so much like a baby anymore! He's our boy who before we know it we will be calling a man! He's our boy who 2 years ago today changed the dynamics of our family, growing us in size and heart. We can’t imagine our lives without him!
Hey Amber, I really enjoyed reading your post about Benjamin. That is so interesting that he calls himself Ben....like you said, how would he know to do that?! Congrats to you on potty-training the little guy! The cupcakes "cake" you made looks great. Happy Birthday to Benjamin today! Love, Ginger

This is a very touching post. Thanks so much for sharing. I didn't realize how close Maggie and Ben's (per his preference) are. You are very blessed!
