Family Fun

Hard to believe that September has ended and we are nearly mid-way through October.

Since School started for Aubrey in September, we've made Fridays Family Nights.  We did Family Nights last year on Friday's as well, participating in the activities hosted at our local YMCA.  However, once Benjamin was born, it became more challenging to be out past 7PM.

For our Family Nights we get a movie from the library to watch while eating popcorn and a fun snack.  Unfortunately it's only Mom, Dad, and Aubrey.  Poor Benjamin has no real interest in watching movies.  We've also gone out for pizza but Aubrey's preferring the movies for our Family Fun!

Last night for Family Night we actually went to her preschool where they were hosting a Family Movie Night.  We packed a couple blankets, including Aubrey's blankie, got the kids in their PJs and headed to the school to watch the Veggie Tales: The Wizard of Ha's.  It was a great time.

Earlier on Friday, we met up with Vicki, Grace, and Emma at the Children's Museum.  Aubrey LOVES the museum.  They all seemed to have a really good time.  Here are some pictures of them all playing:

Today we went to the Pumpkin Farm to play and get our family Pumpkins.  It was SO crowded because of the beautiful weather we are experiencing.  Feeling how warm it is today makes Rudy even more happy he's not running the Chicago Marathon this year.  No need to repeat last year!
Aubrey seems to understand we can't carve them until closer to Halloween but I'm sure she'll ask several times between now and then.  She also wants to carve hers into a Princess (are you surprised?!!?)  Guess I'll be hunting for those stencils!
Enjoy these pictures of our fun!
