Books, Books, and More Books
Today was a library day for us. We spent 2 hours there this morning reading books, looking for movies and in story time. The library near our house is great! They have a really fantastic children's area as well as daily programs to enjoy! The library is one of Aubrey's favorite places. She loves reading and being read to! I hope she always has a love for books.
Aubrey is really into the Arthur series of books and the TV show. We returned 5 Arthur books last night and checked out another 6 today. While we were there I read a few other Arthur books to her (in between being so thirsty and needing to go to the drinking fountain for some water!) She really likes D.W., Arthur's little sister. Her favorite book is "D.W.'s Guide to Preschool" which means we can pretty much recite the entire book without actually needing to read the pages! It was in with the returns from last night and guess what- they have many copies so we were able to check it out again today. As Aubrey is repeating, "Aren't we so lucky!" (She doesn't get sarcasm yet!)
The theme for story time today was "Just Ducky" Aubrey generally only enjoys the puppets and dancing/singing part of story time. Thankfully, today that's what most off of the time was spent doing!
Through all of this, Benjamin just slept quietly in the carseat!
